Built by people who actually live in them
Every build starts from years of real van life, not a showroom. Practical, detail-obsessed Sprinter conversions that make the road feel simpler, not more complicated.
Small doesn't mean sacrificing. Every van feels open and easy to be in, with the essentials you need and none of the clutter you don't.
Our layout is proven, but your van is yours. Pick your colors, add the upgrades that matter to you, or bring us a request we haven't heard yet.
Where our vans end up
Nate took his van to Europe for four months with his wife and their dog, and the layout held up just as well on cobblestone as it does on a forest road.
One couple spent six months crossing Canada east to west, then kept going and worked their way down through the States.
Most people slow down at eight months pregnant. One couple sold their house and moved into their van instead.
Some of our owners are weekenders. A few of them finished the Pacific Crest Trail and apparently weren't done being outside, so now they're in the van any chance they get.
And some are doctors who wanted a rig that could handle rough roads and get them properly out there on their time off.
Different people, different trips, same van. We hear from every one of them, and every build gets a little better because of it.
At Raft Tiger, we design and build entire camper vans. Not just interiors. This video shows the outside of the van and how well every aspect of the design flows with eachother.
We hope this video gives you the best feel for being inside a Raft Tiger Van without literally being inside one. Our theory is that the most important feature of a camper van is the layout. Before anything else, it better be a comfortable space that you can see yourself spending a lot of time in.
Specs are important! Every Raft Tiger van is designed to be fully capable off grid. We do our best to max out all the creature comforts so that you have no worries when you're on your outdoor cross country adventures!
If something is inconvenient in even the slightest way, it tends to not be used at all. We design and build the composting toilet in house in order to ensure that it is as convenient and easy to use as possible! We stand behind our word when we say that it is the most maintenance minimal composting toilet in the vanlife market today.
One of our most common customer requests is to maximize the under bed storage space for that outdoor adventure equipment you just can't leave home without. Our new removeable bed system allows you to make as much space as you need. Whether it's your trusty hardtail or that new surf board, it's going to fit!
We want to maximize all the useable space that the roof has to offer. Between the awning, solar panels, and roof vents, no inch is wasted. And care has also been considered to reduce top heaviness and road noise when going down the highway.
There's no way we can fit everything into just a few 5 minute long videos. If there's anything we missed, or if you have any questions at all don't hesitate to reach out!
